With over 20 years experience in acting and filmmaking, I offer private acting instruction and audition coaching for students, professionals, and beginners of all ages. My approach is practical, grounded, and tailored to each individual—whether you’re preparing for a college audition, refining your on-camera skills, or exploring acting for the first time.

With professional experience as both an actor and filmmaker, I help performers develop confidence, clarity, and truthful work without unnecessary jargon, intimidation, or pressure. Sessions are designed to meet you where you are and support your specific goals.

Audition Preparation (College & Professional)
Focused, individualized coaching for theatre, film, and acting program auditions. Sessions may include:
  • Monologue and scene selection

Monologue Coaching

Scene Study (Private Coaching)

Graham Skipper
 is a professional actor, writer, and filmmaker based in Austin, Texas. With over 20 years experience across film, television, and theatre, he brings a practical, actor-centered approach to private coaching and audition preparation.

His teaching style emphasizes clarity, confidence, and truthful performance, focusing on real-world tools rather than jargon or intimidation. Graham works with professionals, students, and beginners alike, tailoring each session to the individual’s goals and experience level.

FAQ

Do I need prior acting experience? No. I work with complete beginners as well as experienced actors. Sessions are tailored to your background and comfort level.

What ages do you work with? I work with teens and adults. If you have questions about a specific age or situation, feel free to reach out.

Do you help with college auditions? Yes. I offer focused coaching for college theatre and film program auditions, including monologue selection, preparation, and camera technique when applicable.

Do you work on self-tapes? Absolutely. I can help with performance, framing, pacing, and making effective choices for self-taped auditions.

Are sessions in person or online? Both. I offer in-person sessions in the Austin area as well as remote coaching via Zoom.

How long are sessions? Standard sessions are 60 minutes, with 90-minute options available for more intensive work.

Do you offer packages? Yes. Multi-session packages are available for ongoing work or audition preparation. Details are provided upon inquiry.

What if I’m nervous or unsure about acting? That’s completely normal! A large part of my work—especially with beginners—is creating a low-pressure, supportive environment where you can explore acting without fear or judgment. It'll be fun!
